Former Tavush Governor Ordered to Pay Around 608 Million Drams

The Office of the Prosecutor General has reported that as part of the asset confiscation process related to illegal origins, a settlement agreement has been reached on February 15, 2024, with former Tavush governor Hovik Abovyan and associated persons. The basis for the court-approved settlement was a request submitted by Hovik Abovyan and his related individuals to the Prosecutor General's office on January 22, 2024, seeking to conclude the case through a settlement, wherein they expressed their willingness to transfer approximately 608 million drams to the property of the Republic of Armenia.

As of September 26, 2025, the total amount of around 608 million drams has been fully paid to the state budget of the Republic of Armenia.
