Defeat was Guaranteed Before the War Even Began: Tigran Abrahamyan

It has been 5 years since the 44-day war, yet the factors that led to defeat have not changed. This was stated by Tigran Abrahamyan, the secretary of the 'I Have Honor' parliamentary faction, on his Facebook page.

“How could there be success when the country's military-political leadership did not transition from peacetime to wartime on the verge of immediate danger? When, under the clear actions of the enemy, the troops were not transferred from a defensive to a combat readiness mode? When management fails, and the influence on crucial decisions lies with people who have never worn a uniform up close or are solely motivated by vanity? When, instead of pre-approved plans for reservists, the process resorts to gathering units and selecting commanders? And rather than reinforcing the troops, there are deployments of units for unknown purposes in unknown directions? The reasons for defeat are numerous, but the primary one was the ideological and value-based approaches of the individual in the position of supreme commander during the war, under which the defeat was guaranteed even before this war began,” wrote Abrahamyan.
