Iran Accelerates Construction of Secret Military Facility, The Washington Post
Ofelya
In recent months, Iran has accelerated the construction of a secret military facility under the Kolang Mountain in the central province of Isfahan. This was reported by The Washington Post, referencing satellite imagery.
According to the newspaper, the construction of the facility, “the purpose of which remains unknown,” has sped up following U.S. strikes on three nuclear sites in Iran. One of these sites is located near the Kolang Mountain in Natanz.
The Iranian leadership had previously stated that the facility could be used for the production of centrifuges intended for uranium enrichment. However, experts cited by the newspaper believe that the facility may be directly used for uranium enrichment or storage.
