Four Individuals Break into House of Chinese Nationals in Ararat and Steal $40,000
On the morning of yesterday, a theft occurred in the Ararat region around 6:20 AM, according to operational information received by the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Main Department of Criminal Police.
As previously reported by Shamshyan.com, the incident took place in one of the houses in the village of Norabats, where foreign nationals reside.
A group led by the head of the criminal police department, Saribek Rustamyan, arrived at the scene. It was established that around 1:00 AM, four individuals had visited one of the houses on Yerevanian Street 3 in Norabats, where citizens of the People's Republic of China live as tenants.
After knocking on the door and being let in, the assailants pushed the residents, locked them in another room, and stole $40,000 that was kept in the bedroom, then fled the scene.
The Investigative Committee informed Auroranews.am: “A criminal case has been initiated based on the characteristics of Article 252, Part 3, Points 2 and 4 (robbery) of the Criminal Code. The investigation is underway,” the Investigative Committee noted.
