I am shocked by the news of the brutal murder of opposition mayor Valodya Grigoryan in Parakar. This was written by lawyer Ruben Melikyan on his Facebook page.

He specifically noted: “The method of the murder further highlights the entire cynicism of the situation; the criminals shot Grigoryan in his backyard at midnight. The ‘bastion’ of Nikol has until now carried the risk of imprisonment or dispossession for opposition activities. From now on, this is compounded by the risk of being shot.”
