Where should I steal from? Now I'm 'getting by' on my pension, Vachagan Ghazaryan
“Where should I steal from, who should give me money?” This was stated by Vachagan Ghazaryan, the former head of the security detail of former President Serzh Sargsyan, during a conversation with reporters outside the court today, referring to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s statements about recovering stolen assets.
“But have they proven that we have stolen anything? Why are the doors of the budget open, we go in, take it, and come out?” he said.
Regarding the fact that he is involved in a case concerning the confiscation of allegedly illegal properties, Ghazaryan stated, “Everyone is involved with illegal properties, they must prove that it was stolen. I explained to you, those four plots of land were given to me, and they claim it’s not mine, and I’ve returned it to them. What’s the problem?”
Vachagan Ghazaryan announced that he currently does not have large sums of money in his bank accounts. When asked how he is managing, he replied, “I receive a pension.”
