The State Inquired About ANIF Case and Pursued the Matter, Says Pashinyan
"Corruption cannot be used against us. We cannot use the fight against corruption as a tool against us," said Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a panel discussion at the Armenian Democracy Forum, responding to a question about the ANIF case. According to Pashinyan, systemic corruption has vanished in Armenia since 2018 and no longer exists. "If it were, I would have had my share in all those corrupt cases," he stated.
"In just the first nine months of this year, the state budget has seen an income of 2 billion dollars more compared to 2018. Where do you know about this ANIF story from? How does the media know? The state itself had questions and pursued this issue," Pashinyan noted.
