Mayor Valodya Grigoryan of Parakar Shot Dead: Ministry of Internal Affairs

Mayor Valodya Grigoryan of Parakar has been shot dead.

On September 23 at 23:52, a report was received by the Ministry of Internal Affairs noting that gunshots were heard on the Yerevan highway in the village of Mrdzavan, Armavir province. Preliminary reports indicate there are 2 fatalities and 1 injured individual. One of the deceased is community leader Valodya Grigoryan.

The police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are taking measures to clarify all the circumstances of the incident. Additional information will be provided.
