VIDEO: Man Who Assaulted Police Officer with Fists Arrested

On June 29, officers from the patrol service of the police noticed a young man without a mask at the intersection of Melik Adamyan and Nalbandyan streets. This information was reported by the Armenian police.

The police approached the citizen, urged him to wear a mask, and requested identification documents to prepare a report. The young man refused to provide his information and fled the scene.

The police pursued him and, with the assistance of officers from the National Security Service nearby, apprehended him and brought him to the Central Police Department. During this process, the young man struck a police officer with his fists, causing bodily harm.

A criminal case has been initiated in the Central Police Department under Article 316 of the RA Criminal Code, which pertains to violence against a representative of authority. The 21-year-old resident of Davitashen has been arrested. The investigation of the initiated criminal case is ongoing.
