From the declaration of a state of emergency until June 30, a total of 132 cases of violations of isolation or self-isolation rules have been reported, while during intensified checks conducted on June 29, five cases were recorded, leading to the initiation of administrative proceedings. “In order to prevent the potential spread of the new coronavirus, it is essential for individuals infected with the virus to strictly adhere to the self-isolation and isolation rules. In this context, police officers, in cooperation with relevant other bodies, are conducting monitoring in self-isolation and isolation locations. Violations will lead to administrative and criminal legal consequences as stipulated by law.
Since the declaration of the state of emergency, 132 violations of isolation or self-isolation rules have been identified, with five cases noted during intensified checks on June 29, which resulted in administrative proceedings. Three residents of Kotayk Region who were in self-isolation left their homes to go shopping, but police officers present in the yard did not allow them to do so. A resident of Tavush Region also left the house for shopping, and one individual from Lori Region violated self-isolation rules to go to work. Police officers have also determined that, according to preliminary data, those who violated the self-isolation rules did not come into contact with others.
It is reminded that violating the rules of isolation or self-isolation can result in administrative liability amounting to 100,000 to 200,000 drams. If due to the violation a person is infected, or if serious harm is caused to another person’s health through negligence, or if two or more persons are infected or a death occurs as a result of negligence, then the issue will be transferred to the realm of criminal liability.
Dear citizens, strictly adhere to the rules of isolation or self-isolation and do not endanger the health of others through inappropriate behavior,” reads the statement.
