Political scientist Suren Surenyants made a post on Telegram: “The statement by former director of ANIF Davit Papazyan reveals an important fact: Pashinyan can no longer shift the blame onto the former officials or his allies. The 'scapegoats' are revolting.

Once again, Nikol Pashinyan is trying to transfer the responsibility for his disgraceful failures onto others, forgetting that the infamous ANIF scandal occurred during his government. However, this story is not solely about ANIF. Although the structure has long been dissolved, the narrative surrounding it has become a mirror of intra-governmental relations.

Apparently, Pashinyan attempted to use the ANIF case as a tool for intra-governmental filtering. Yet, in this instance, he faced backlash. It would be naive to assume that Davit Papazyan merely expressed his personal grievances. His words can be interpreted as a voice from within the government, publicly challenging Pashinyan.

On the eve of the 2026 elections, this is not merely a personal dispute but a clear indicator of the growing deficit of trust within Pashinyan's leadership. The increasing fissures within his administration can no longer be concealed.
