Europe Does Not Intend to Consider Russia's Interests: Stub

The President of Finland, Alexander Stub, has stated that Europe does not intend to take Russia's interests into account while developing security guarantees for Kyiv. He also noted that European countries are ready for military escalation in Ukraine.

In an interview with The Guardian, Stub mentioned that the security guarantees being discussed for Ukraine would only come into effect after an agreement is reached between Russia and Kyiv. He emphasized that Russia will not have a veto over the format of these guarantees.

"For me, the question is not whether Russia will agree or not. Of course, it won’t agree, but that’s not the issue," Stub stated.
