Diplomacy Door Not Closed on Iran's Nuclear Program, Says Iran's Permanent Representative
“Iran's nuclear program will not be destroyed by bombs, will not be halted by sanctions, and will not be diverted from its peaceful course. However, Iran will decide for itself with whom and on what issues to cooperate,” said Amir Said Iravani, Iran's permanent representative to the UN, to reporters at the UN headquarters.
Earlier, the UN Security Council rejected a draft resolution aimed at reinstating sanctions against Iran. The document received support from Russia, China, Algeria, and Pakistan.
