Over 450 Armenian Trucks Remain Blocked in Russia: 'Spayka' is Not Alone
Russian law enforcement agencies have halted and blocked more than a hundred trucks belonging to the Armenian company 'Spayka' without any justification. In this regard, new information has come to light for 'Pats' newspaper.
It turns out that not only the trucks of 'Spayka' are blocked, but also those of about 50 other companies exporting goods to Russia. In total, around 450 trucks are reportedly blocked at the Upper Lars checkpoint for various reasons, often without any explanation. As a result, all companies owning the aforementioned goods are suffering significant losses. The situation is exacerbated by the fact that they are paying nearly $100 per day just for the trucks, not to mention that some trucks are carrying perishable goods.
Experts explain this situation by several factors, which are related both to the inadequate performance of relevant Armenian state bodies and have nuances in foreign politics. Specifically, there is an opinion that this could be a response to the abrupt shifts in Armenia's foreign policy orientation. It should be noted that recently, Russian media, experts, and several officials, including Deputy Prime Minister Overchuk, have directly warned about this situation.
