United States Deeply Disappointed by Netanyahu's Criticism, Says White House
The U.S. is deeply disappointed by the criticism from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and considers it baseless. This was stated by John Kirby, the coordinator for strategic communications at the National Security Council, during an online briefing.
“I think we have quite clearly communicated to our Israeli partners our deep disappointment about the statements contained in this video, as well as our concerns regarding their accuracy,” said the White House representative.
He commented on Netanyahu's video message, published in English on June 18, in which the Prime Minister described U.S. decisions to limit weapon supplies to Israel as incredible and demanded the lifting of those restrictions.
“The idea that we have somehow ceased providing assistance to Israel related to its self-defense needs is absolutely not accurate,” Kirby stated.
