Iran Supports Armenia's Efforts Towards Peace Establishment: Ambassador
The President of the Republic of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturyan, received Mehdi Sobhani, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Armenia, who is concluding his diplomatic mission. The President welcomed the ambassador and thanked him for his consistent efforts during his tenure, which have contributed to the elevation of relations between Armenia and Iran.
“You have achieved significant successes during your tenure,” the President said, expressing hope for the further intensification of cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, agenda issues of multifaceted cooperation between the two countries were discussed. The parties positively noted the effective cooperation between Armenia and Iran in the development of transport and energy infrastructures, which serves as a solid foundation for expanding cooperation.
Throughout the conversation, thoughts were exchanged regarding regional realities, in which context the ambassador emphasized that Iran supports Armenia's efforts toward establishing peace within the framework of fundamental principles of territorial integrity and sovereignty.
The President expressed gratitude for the clear and consistent positions expressed by the Iranian side on multiple occasions. The meeting also addressed the continued development of economic cooperation, trade turnover, and tourism flows, highlighting the significant potential in these areas.
