Leave Iran: Germany's Foreign Ministry Advises Citizens
The German Foreign Ministry has renewed its call for citizens to leave Iran, citing high risks following the activation of the 'Snapback' mechanism and the limitations on consular services.
The renewed advice was published on September 16, 2025, as part of the 'Travel and Security Guide for Iran.' Officials noted that the warning arises from the activation of the 'Snapback' mechanism on August 28 and limited consular services available at the German embassy in Tehran, along with corresponding measures.
German media outlets have also warned that flights between Germany and Iran may soon be suspended, which would create additional uncertainty for those still residing in the country.
