Iran Has Yet to Take Necessary Reasonable and Accurate Steps: EU Countries

The EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, held a telephone conversation today with the foreign ministers of Germany, France, and the United Kingdom, discussing Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araqchi.

In their joint comments, the European side asserted that Iran has yet to take the "necessary reasonable and accurate steps" as stipulated by UN Security Council Resolution 2231.

According to the outcomes published by the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the conversation focused on the Iranian nuclear issue and the removal of sanctions against Iran.

Referring to the importance of maintaining a dialogue and diplomatic atmosphere to prevent rising tensions, the Iranian foreign minister deemed the move to restore previously lifted UN Security Council sanctions by the three European countries as lacking any legal or logical justification.
