Gyumri Residents Cannot Be Deprived of Celebration: Extraordinary Session Convened by Sarik Minasyan

The City Council's Civil Contract faction has initiated an extraordinary session. This was announced by the faction's leader, Sarik Minasyan, on his Facebook page.

“Considering your numerous calls and concerns regarding the cancellation of the 'Gyumri Day' celebration, the Civil Contract faction of the Gyumri council will convene an extraordinary council session. The agenda will include the matter of holding the 'Gyumri Day' celebration. Residents of Gyumri cannot be deprived of a celebration, and we must honor the day that has become a tradition,” he wrote.

It should be noted that the Gyumri council has canceled the annual 'Gyumri Day' celebration. This information comes from the Gyumri municipality, where the organization and management of the celebration were also included in the session's agenda. Lilith Tovmasyan, head of the municipality's culture department, stated during the report that a budget allocation of 6 million drams is necessary for the organization of the event.
