Peskov Discusses Putin's Preparations for Visit to Turkey

Preparations for Russian President Vladimir Putin's upcoming visit to Turkey are actively underway, though the exact date has yet to be determined. This was reported to RIA Novosti by Dmitry Peskov, spokesperson for the President of Russia.

In early July, Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's office also stated that a specific date for the visit has not yet been set. Erdoğan himself mentioned that Putin's visit could serve as the beginning of a new process for the normalization of relations between Turkey and Syria.

On Wednesday, Putin received Syrian President Bashar Assad at the Kremlin. Peskov responded to inquiries about the visit's preparations by stating, “Active work is ongoing, but the date is still unknown.”
