19 MPs Need to Join the Impeachment, Which is Impossible - Aghazaryan
Haik Mamijanyan, the leader of the ‘Honorary’ faction, recently announced that they will present a draft declaration of no confidence in the Prime Minister of Armenia and will initiate meetings on this topic.
In an interview with Radar Armenia, National Assembly member Hovik Aghazaryan commented on the opposition's initiative, emphasizing that the success of the process is practically unlikely. “With all due respect to Mr. Mamijanyan, we shouldn’t speak too grandly. Nineteen members of the ruling ‘Civil Contract’ party need to join this initiative, which is impossible,” he stated.
The opposition has initiated parliamentary hearings regarding impeachment, and whether Hovik Aghazaryan will participate depends on the day it takes place. Aghazaryan also added that 54 signatures are necessary to declare no confidence in the Prime Minister.
