Italy, United Kingdom and Others to Join NATO's New Initiative

Spain, Italy, the United Kingdom, and Sweden have announced plans to join NATO's 'Eastern Multinational Brigade' initiative.

'Denmark will provide fighter jets and air defense frigates, while Spain and the United Kingdom will soon declare their support. Italy and Sweden have also indicated that they will offer assistance,' states the North Atlantic Alliance's website.

It is noted that three helicopters have arrived from the Czech Republic as part of the initiative. Germany has also allocated four Eurofighter jets.

Earlier, it was reported that the NATO operation named 'Eastern Multinational Brigade' has commenced in Poland. Its goal is to strengthen the defense of the eastern flank amid a massive influx of unmanned aerial vehicles into Polish territory.
