Sanctions against Russia have not worked, and thus the new package of measures from the United States will focus on Brazil, India, and China. This was stated by Lindsey Graham, the Republican Chairman of the U.S. Senate Budget Committee.

The senator emphasized that the U.S. is dissatisfied with the fact that European countries still "do not want to go down this path."

"I think it’s time for Europeans to embrace President Trump’s approach. Impose tariffs on those who buy cheap Russian oil and gas," Graham said.
