Tensions Rise Between Israel and Egypt
Egypt has reduced the level of cooperation with Israel in security and diplomatic spheres in response to the strike carried out in Doha, aimed at the residence of senior Hamas leaders, according to Iran Press, referencing regional media.
This move underscores the growing tension between Cairo and Tel Aviv at a time when Egypt's mediating role is considered crucial in efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza.
At the same time, this could signal a reconfiguration of regional relations as Egypt warns Israel not to extend military operations into Arab states.
Traditionally, Egypt has served as a key mediator between Israel and Palestinian groups, but it now states that Israel is obstructing humanitarian aid efforts and ignoring Cairo’s diplomatic demands.
Cairo's solidarity with Qatar may reshape cooperation among Arab countries in the fight against Israeli aggression, potentially escalating tensions in ongoing negotiations supported by the United States.
It should be noted that Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry has confirmed Egypt's full solidarity with Qatar in Doha and discussed joint measures against Israel's escalation.
