Borrell: 'I Know How to End the War in Ukraine'
According to Josep Borrell, head of the EU's foreign policy service, the conflict in Ukraine could end in a matter of weeks if the West stops providing military support to Kyiv, TASS reports.
“I know how to end the war in Ukraine. It is very simple. We stop military support for Ukraine, and the war ends in a few weeks,” he stated while speaking at the Shangri-La Dialogue conference ongoing in Singapore.
At the same time, Borrell posed the question of what the outcome of the conflict would be in such a case. “Is it important, or not? If it is important, then we cannot stop military support for Ukraine, because we do not want a peace that would become a capitulation peace, a peace that would turn Ukraine into a second Belarus,” he said.
“The question is not whether the war will end, but how we will end that war,” Borrell added, emphasizing that the West will continue to provide military support to Ukraine because it desires peace in the country.
