Armenian Man Arrested in Stepanakert with Gunshot Wounds

According to Azerbaijani police, an Armenian man named Karen Avanesyan has been arrested in Stepanakert, sustaining injuries during the arrest.

Azerbaijani news agency APA, citing the country's Ministry of Internal Affairs, reported that Avanesyan was detained by police while attempting to approach the site of an event being held in Stepanakert with a firearm.

Reports from Azerbaijani media indicate that Avanesyan displayed armed resistance at the time of his arrest. As a result of return fire, Avanesyan sustained a gunshot wound and was apprehended.
