EU Extends Sanctions Against Russia for Another 6 Months

The European Union has extended the entire package of sanctions against Russia for another six months. This was announced by the EU Council. According to the information, the restrictions will remain in force until March 15, 2026.

“Today, the Council decided to extend the restrictive measures for another six months, until March 15, 2026,” the statement said.

It is noted that, as before, the sanctions will apply to more than 2,500 individuals and legal entities.

Earlier, the head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, announced that the EU was finalizing work on the 19th package of sanctions against Russia.
