You Are Not in Control of the Situation, You Do Not Have the Trust of the People: Konyan to the Opposition

The opposition has been saying for years, "We will change the government soon, before the holidays, before the May holidays there will be no more government, there is no government anymore. You are not in control of the situation, you do not have the trust of the people. They change the government about four times a year, they say they are 'saving' the people. In summary, for years they have been unable to accomplish anything and after much deliberation have realized that the mountain has given birth to a mouse and decided to hold parliamentary hearings. I am astonished.

This was stated during a session of the National Assembly by Haik Konyan, the leader of the "Civil Contract" faction, responding to the announcement made by Haik Mamijanyan, the leader of the "Armenia" faction.

"Instead, you could simply come to the meeting hall, participate in the sessions, and ask the Prime Minister questions during the question-and-answer period with the Government. At that time, you would have more views, more people would hear your content," Konyan said, addressing the opposition.

It should be noted that earlier, Haik Mamijanyan announced in the National Assembly that the "Honorable" faction will organize parliamentary hearings at the end of September, aimed at uniting parliamentary and extra-parliamentary forces.
