Trump to Posthumously Award Slain Political Figure Charlie Kirk

U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Thursday that he will posthumously award the highest civilian honor in the United States to murdered right-wing activist Charlie Kirk, reports AFP.

“I will soon posthumously award Charlie Kirk with the Presidential Medal of Freedom,” Trump said.

As previously reported, Kirk was shot while speaking at a university in Orem, Utah. The politician was hospitalized, but efforts to save his life were unsuccessful.
