Germany to Strengthen NATO's Eastern Flank Defense Due to Russia

Germany is set to bolster its commitment to the defense of NATO's eastern flank in response to the Russian incursion of drones into Polish airspace, according to a government spokesperson as reported by Reuters.
“In addition to obligations in the Baltic States and Poland, the government will strengthen Poland’s air defense,” the spokesperson emphasized.
He also added that Berlin will simultaneously enhance its support for Ukraine and work within the EU framework to expedite the adoption of the 19th round of sanctions against Russia.
