Protesters Disrupt Trump's Restaurant Dinner, Incident Ensues
U.S. President Donald Trump’s rare evening visit to a local restaurant began with a face-to-face encounter with protesters, NBC News reports.
The president, accompanied by administration officials including Vice President Jay D. Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, arrived in a motorcade at Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak and Stone Crab, located not far from the White House.
Trump briefly spoke with reporters outside the restaurant, where he was greeted with applause and chants of “Free Palestine.” Inside, as he welcomed the restaurant patrons, a group of protesters holding Palestinian flags began chanting: “Free Washington, free Palestine, Trump is the Hitler of our time.” The activist group Code Pink claimed responsibility for the protests.
Trump faced the protesters, making eye contact with them before they were subsequently removed from the restaurant. One protester at that moment remarked, “He terrorizes communities in Washington.”
