Poland's Prime Minister Reveals Most Drones Entered the Country from Belarus
Poland's Prime Minister Donald Tusk has stated that the country is today closer to armed conflict than at any time since World War II. Warsaw has officially approached NATO to activate Article 4 of the North Atlantic Treaty, emphasizing that Poland needs more than just expressions of solidarity.
"This changes the political situation. Therefore, consultations with allies turned into an official request to activate Article 4 of the treaty," Tusk said.
It is noteworthy that Article 4 allows any NATO member to raise an issue for discussion within the alliance, but it does not imply an immediate military response.
Tusk also mentioned that just the previous night, 19 incursions into Polish airspace were recorded, four of which involved downed drones. According to him, a significant number of these drones entered Poland from Belarus.
