Peace Established: Pashinyan
On August 8, a peace agreement was signed in Washington, announced Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. According to him, since 1994, negotiations regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh issue have taken place, and during this time, apart from the draft of the declaration, there has been no other document draft. He stated, 'They say, well, yes, a declaration has been signed. Yes, fine, but if the declaration is such, why did the state, the energy of the people, and the entire agenda focus on that declaration for 30 years?'
The Prime Minister stated that the established peace should be developed towards institutional strengthening, 'in spite of those who want to develop from this point towards institutional destruction.'
