There Is No Such Thing as a Corridor. Nothing Will Be Forced: Iranian Ambassador on 'Zangezur Corridor' Terminology
"I will hold a meeting at the embassy and invite all of you," stated the Iranian Ambassador to Armenia, addressing reporters. In response to a question about the use of the term 'Zangezur Corridor' by Azerbaijan, the ambassador replied that he had not heard it.
"There is no such thing as a corridor; it is about a road. Neither in the 'Peace Agreement' nor in any signed declarations is there mention of a corridor. There will be no corridor," emphasized Mehdi Sobhani. He added, "Nothing will be forced."
When asked about the purpose of his visit to the National Assembly, Mehdi Sobhani stated that Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister had also arrived in Armenia and they are currently engaged in organizing a parliamentary conference.
