Russia's Foreign Ministry Makes Statement

Russia is only willing to pay for political products that are favorable to it. This was stated by Vladislav Maslennikov, the Director of the European Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, in response to a question about whether Russia would invest in the 2026 budget of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).

“As for investments related to the OSCE, we can simply say that we are ready to purchase only the political products that are advantageous to us. We have repeatedly mentioned that, today, the organization’s activities have been completely paralyzed due to the insatiable desires of the Western countries. The draft unified budget for 2026 will be presented in October. We shall see if we can reach an agreement on this,” he said, according to the agency.

He added that the organization has chances for the future, if, of course, it adapts to the changed geopolitical realities.
