We Hope Yerevan Will Clarify Its Relationship Prospects with CSTO: Tasmagambetov
The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) hopes that Yerevan will clarify its relationship prospects with the organization. This statement was made by CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov during a session of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly (PA) Council in Almaty, as reported by TASS.
“We hope that the political leadership of the republic will clarify the prospects of its relations with the CSTO, which would be beneficial for all participants of our union, primarily for planning future joint activities,” he stated.
At the same time, the Secretary General noted that “over the past year, Armenia's partners have significantly reduced their participation in the organization’s events.”
“Nevertheless, the main mechanisms of cooperation are still functioning, and the Republic of Armenia remains a full member of the organization, with all obligations towards this country fully maintained,” Tasmagambetov emphasized.
