Romanos Petrosyan said, 'you have no form', while a person is held in captivity for 'our form': this was stated by the lawyer of detained philanthropist and businessman Samvel Karapetyan, Aram Vardevanyan, during a press conference.

‘Samvel Karapetyan, by using the expression 'our form', spoke from the positions he has always represented as a benefactor of the church. If personal freedom can be resolved through Facebook justice, that is not democracy. The authorities claim that since Samvel Karapetyan has public recognition, respect, and trust, he could obstruct the investigation of a case that relates to a call that does not exist. This is a formal criminal charge both legally and in general; the entire criminal procedure is merely formal, and within the framework of this formal procedure, a specific individual has been illegally detained for 80 days,' the lawyer stated.

It is noteworthy that on June 18, law enforcement arrested and subsequently the court detained prominent businessman and head of the Tashir group, Samvel Karapetyan, on charges of calling for the overthrow of the constitutional order, simply for stating in an interview that 'we will intervene in our way' should political figures fail to fulfill that function while defending the Armenian Apostolic Church.
