Additional tariffs will come into effect on August 27, but they may be canceled. The publication notes that for now, the market does not expect serious disruptions to Russian oil exports.
Bloomberg reports that Russian Urals oil is being offered to Indian buyers at a significant discount.
On August 6, Washington announced the imposition of an additional 25% tariff on Indian goods exported to the United States in response to New Delhi's purchases of Russian oil, which would raise the overall tariff to 50%. Indian authorities have called these measures "unjust and unfounded," promising to take retaliatory steps to protect national interests.
