Israel Launches Special Operation in Gaza Approved by Trump
Israel's Channel 9 reports that the Israel Defense Forces' "Peak Fire" operation has been personally authorized by Donald Trump.
According to "Israel Hayom," Israel informed the authorities in the United States and Qatar prior to an attack on Hamas's headquarters in Doha. Qatar's foreign minister condemned Israel's actions.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced the start of a major ground operation and urged residents of Gaza City to evacuate. From the bunker of the Air Force headquarters, Netanyahu stated that in recent days the IDF has destroyed 50 high-rise buildings in Gaza, claiming they were used by Hamas militants.
"This is just the beginning. Our forces are entering Gaza," Netanyahu warned.
Israel's Defense Minister, Israel Katz, also declared that an unprecedented strike had been launched on Gaza yesterday. "Thirty terrorist high-rise buildings and other targets have been destroyed," Katz elaborated. He warned that if Hamas did not lay down its weapons and release all hostages, Gaza and the movement's militants would be destroyed.
Syrian media also report that Israeli forces have struck targets in various locations in Syria. The country's foreign ministry has classified the Israeli attacks as a "gross violation" of Syria's sovereignty and regional stability.
