Tukhuy Tovmasyan Demands Arthur Hovhannisyan to Take a Drug Test

In an official letter to the Speaker of the National Assembly, I have informed that Arthur Hovhannisyan, the secretary of the ruling party faction, obstructed my press briefing while I was discussing the Armenian prisoners tortured in the Baku jail. This was stated by the Armenian National Assembly member Tukhuy Tovmasyan.

“His behavior violates not only the guarantees of a deputy’s activities but also the rights of the journalists. I demand that Hovhannisyan undergo mandatory drug testing every day before entering the National Assembly, and the results should be public. The Parliament cannot tolerate hooliganism,” wrote Tovmasyan, who is the unlawfully suspended president of the Parliamentary Commission for the Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs.
