Narek Mkrtchyan's Brother, Mkrtich Mkrtchyan, Charged in the U.S.

Mkrtich Mkrtchyan, the brother of Armenia's Ambassador to the U.S. Narek Mkrtchyan, has been charged and is under house arrest. This was confirmed by Mkrtchyan's lawyer, Gegham Hakobyan, in response to an inquiry from Factor.TV.

The Investigative Committee has reported that during the preliminary investigation of the criminal case related to Mkrtich Mkrtchyan, charges were filed under Part 1 of Article 335 (illegal circulation of weapons, their essential components, military ammunition, and other materials, devices, or objects).

In addition to house arrest, Mkrtich Mkrtchyan is also subject to bail and a ban on leaving the country. Currently, there are no charges related to drug trafficking in Mkrtchyan's case.

It is worth noting that Narek Mkrtchyan's brother was arrested by the police after an individual reportedly threw a substance resembling drugs from his car and attempted to flee.
