Major Fire at Hayfilm Film Studio Area: 6 Vehicles Reduced to Ashes

A major fire broke out in Yerevan today, September 6. Around 13:50, the National Center for Crisis Management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs received a call reporting that a grassy area and vehicles were on fire in the administrative territory of the Hayfilm film studio along the Ashtarak highway.

According to Shamshya.com from the scene, two fire-fighting units from the Fire and Rescue Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs were dispatched. Before the firefighters arrived, staff from Hayfilm attempted to combat the flames until the firefighters arrived and extinguished the fire.

Six vehicles were completely reduced to ashes, four of which were buses. The fire has now been contained, but firefighters remain on duty at the scene. Fortunately, there are no reported casualties according to preliminary information. Two emergency medical teams from Yerevan's 1-03 have also arrived at the scene.

It is worth noting that earlier reports indicated that vehicles were burning along the Ashtarak highway.
