Israeli Government Abandons West Bank Annexation Plans

The Israeli government has abandoned its plans for the annexation of the West Bank following a warning from the UAE, reports WP.

According to sources, the UAE's statement that Israel's annexation would be a "red line" and would exclude regional integration took Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu by surprise.

On Thursday, the issue of annexation was removed from the official agenda of consultations between Netanyahu and several senior ministers.
