Andranik Chamichyan's Pretrial Measure Changed to House Arrest
The pretrial measure for 18-year-old Andranik Chamichyan, who is detained in the "Strike Ball" case, has been changed. He is now under house arrest.
Today, the issue of Chamichyan's detention was reviewed at the Ajapnyak court of first instance in Yerevan. Law enforcement authorities accuse the 18-year-old of preparing for terrorism.
Earlier, searches were conducted in the homes of members of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF), including the residences of National Assembly member Gegham Manukyan, ARF Supreme Body Chief of Staff Vahagn Matinyan, and Gevorg Muradyan, a member of the consolidated community council of Yeghvard and head of the ARF Youth Union's Central Committee.
Seven individuals have been arrested, including Gegham Manukyan's son, Taron Manukyan, and ARF Yerevan City Committee member Arsen Martoyan.
It is noteworthy that yesterday, National Assembly member Gegham Manukyan commented on the criminal case initiated against Andranik Chamichyan.
