Humanitarian and Military Aid Coming to Ukraine is Being Stolen: Zakharova
On August 29, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy shared his vision for Ukraine's future "security guarantees" during a press briefing, outlining three priority elements: maintaining the current strength of Ukraine's armed forces while ensuring they are reliably funded and equipped with weapons, providing Ukraine's defense in a format reminiscent of "NATO light" in the event of a "new invasion," and upholding anti-Russian sanctions while utilizing confiscated Russian assets to "restore" the country. This was stated by Maria Zakharova, official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, during the briefing.
The third element highlights that, given the entrenched corruption and theft in Ukraine, they will lack sufficient resources to restore the country. Even the incoming humanitarian and military aid is being stolen.
All of these ideas put forth by the Kyiv leader, which are essentially copies of the initiatives from the European "war party," are absolutely unacceptable, as we have previously stated. They aim to maintain Ukraine as a launching pad for terrorism and provocations against our country. These are not guarantees of "safety" for Ukraine but rather represent a "danger" for the European continent.
