Yerevan-Kapan-Yerevan Flights Temporarily Suspended

The Yerevan-Kapan-Yerevan flights are temporarily suspended for technical maintenance of the aircraft. This was stated by the head of the "Novair" company, Karen Vardanyan, in an interview with Syunik TV.

The company serving the Yerevan-Kapan-Yerevan air route announced the temporary suspension of its flights on September 2.

"The aircraft will be undergoing technical maintenance because the safety of passengers and flights is our top priority, which we follow unconditionally. The decision to suspend flights was very painful for us, as the Kapan-Yerevan flights are in high demand. We are currently working in parallel to find a replacement aircraft to fill this gap," Vardanyan said.

According to him, technical maintenance of the aircraft may take up to 4 months, after which the Czech L 410 aircraft will resume flights. He noted that the media often focuses on the Syunik airport, linking any delayed flights to safety concerns. Vardanyan assured that there is no change regarding safety.

"I have regularly mentioned in all my interviews that the best guarantee I can give is that I, my friends, and my family members frequently use these flights, traveling from Yerevan to Kapan and vice versa. Maintenance is a normal process accepted worldwide, which is not subject to negotiation considering flight safety," he said.
