Illegally Altered License Plates and Misuse of Administrative Resources: How the Governor of Lori is Campaigning

On December 5, local self-government elections will take place in Vanadzor, with participation from ten political forces, including the "Civil Contract" party, whose candidate is the governor, Aram Khachatryan. This was reported by Yerevan.today.

According to the outlet, the governor is conducting his pre-election campaign with a series of violations and administrative misuses.

"First, he began his campaign before even taking his leave. Additionally, he is participating in the campaign using a service vehicle; this is not an accusation but a suspicion, since he is participating in the campaign with a Hyundai vehicle, which is precisely the type of car used by the governor. According to our sources, this is indeed his service vehicle. If he is on leave, then why is he participating in the campaign with a service vehicle? If he is not on leave, then why is he campaigning on a working day? In any case, this is a misuse of administrative resources.

However, there is something absurd here that contains criminal elements. The vehicle transporting or accompanying the governor bears a completely different license plate: 36QD462. This license plate was allocated by the traffic police to G.G. for a 1998 Opel Astra. Hence, it turns out that the license plates for the vehicle serving Aram Khachatryan have been altered illegally, which is a criminal offense, not just a matter of a "fine material." We call on the police to pay attention to this apparent crime," stated the outlet.
