Kazakhstan Establishes Visa-Free Regime for Armenia

According to the official Telegram channel of the Mazhilis of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the duration of stay for citizens of Kazakhstan and Armenia on each other's territories remains unchanged. It is 90 days from the date of crossing the state border and cannot exceed this number within a total of six months.

At the same time, after the established period expires, Armenian citizens will be allowed to remain in Kazakhstan by obtaining a temporary residence permit (for work, study, business, family reunification, and others). Currently, a visa is required for this.

The Minister of Internal Affairs, Yerzhan Sadenov, explained that the document will enhance the efficiency of migration control.

It is noteworthy that the document was signed in Yerevan on April 15, 2024. Its main provision was the establishment of a visa-free regime between Kazakhstan and Armenia for up to 90 days.
