Hamas's Chief Operative Killed in Gaza
The Israel Defense Forces and the General Security Service have killed Hazem Avni Naim, the chief operative of Hamas in the Gaza region.
The man had previously held hostages Emily Damari, Romi Gonen, and Naama Levi, who were released in January of this year.
Naim held various positions within the organization, including serving as a senior intelligence officer in the Gaza brigades and was closely associated with the current leader of Hamas's military wing in the Gaza Strip, Iz ad-Din al-Hadadi.
