Azerbaijani Border Guards Arrest Citizen Attempting Illegal Crossing from Armenia to Azerbaijan

An Iraqi citizen has been arrested while attempting to illegally cross from Armenia into Azerbaijan. This was reported by the Azerbaijani State Border Service.

According to the agency, the incident occurred yesterday in the territory of the 'Kubatly' separate border division. A border guard noticed the violator trying to cross the border from Armenia.

“As a result of operational actions carried out in difficult mountainous and forested areas, the Iraqi citizen Ali Emad Attallah Badrawi, born in 2002, was arrested. Operational-investigative measures are ongoing regarding this incident,” the agency’s statement said.
